For accountancy firms
How to take part
We are starting with a small number of firms. This page sets out what we would ask you to tell us and what is not decided yet.
Where things stand
- No introductions are being sent yet.
- The terms for firms are not final.
- The fee for each accepted introduction is not set.
- The terms and the way we describe introductions will have a regulatory review before any firm signs.
We will not ask any firm to sign anything until those points are settled.
What we would ask you to tell us
We use this to decide whether your firm can do the work a business owner has asked for. The rules we use are on our method page.
| What | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Services | Which of the seven kinds of finance support you provide. How to describe your services lists our standard terms. |
| Client size and type | The size of business you take on, using our size bands, and whether you work with sole traders, partnerships or limited companies. |
| Sectors | Any sectors you have experience in, such as online selling or construction. |
| Software | The accounting software you work with. |
| Permissions | Any permissions a business may need, such as audit. |
| Capacity | Whether you can take on new clients now. You tell us when you are full and we stop showing your firm. |
| Evidence | Something that backs up what you tell us, such as your own service pages, anonymised engagement letters or sample reports, and your professional body membership. We record what we checked and when. |
Checking what you tell us is not the same as checking how good your work is. We say that on every page where a firm is shown.
What you would agree to
Our draft code of conduct sets out what we would expect from firms taking part, such as replying to every introduction. If a firm thinks an introduction should not count, our draft disputes process says what would happen.
